The project for a total renovation of a building from the early fifties, with an original part from the early forties, which was one of the first Italian pasta factories. The architecture is on two levels, plus a basement.
To reconvert the old pasta factory into the new office destination, a design language has been adopted that recalls the industrial one, revisited and softened by a functional and contemporary design: steel, concrete, glass, together with the stone found in some original infill panels, and wood , in addition to the use of completely visible systems and technological channels.
A large open-space is at the center of the composition, and here a large transparent skylight has been created around which the mezzanines are distributed on three sides, while on the fourth side stands a fireplace made of fine concrete blocks.
In all environments an industrial concrete floor was used, with an application of gray resin, and natural trees and plants integrated into the project were inserted.
In some rooms, specific custom-made bookcases have been created, even very high and with mobile ladders. Most of the furniture has been designed specifically for this place, and in such a way as to allow great flexibility and modularity of use.
